As we head full-on into the fall season, Pirate's Cove Lounge is pleased to welcome a number of great new musical acts to our stage this season including a special show with Southern Rock group The Higher Choir on Dec. 7.

The Higher Choir (THC) hails from Atlanta, Ga., and is led by Myrtle Beach's own Chance Walls — former frontman of legendary local act The Drag. This will be Walls first appearance locally since The Drag got together for a reunion show at Pirate's Cove in February.

Rounding out the seven-piece group are Grant Mitchell (Guitar), Stephen Darley (Bass), The Pozz (Organ), Alan Conner (Guitar), Wayne Glass (Drums) and Harold Sellers (Percussion).

With THC cranking out good ol' fashion country, blues rock steeped in Southern Folklore, this will be a show you won't want to miss.

The group will be performing in support of their album "Steeped In Southern Tradition," which was released earlier this year as a follow up to the band's 2012 debut "Half Way Home."

Doors will open at 8 p.m. for this show, with opening acts James Hall and Electric Bird Noise to follow. Ticket prices will be announced at a future date.
